In Toronto, Canada environmentalists protested at the gates of the offices of Barrick Gold mining company while executives engaged in the General Assembly Annual
The demonstration carrying placards with the inscriptions "In solidarity with communities affected by Barrick," "global resistance to the Canadian mining", "Right to life on benefits of gold" among others, in repudiation of the mining projects developed by Barrick Gold Company around the world.
